The winter season is alive with downhill and cross-country skiing at Poley Mountain and groomed snowmobile trails; Sussex is also home to one of the region’s most popular 18 hole golf courses and best maintained ATV trails. With walking & mountain biking trails, civic centre, ice arena, tennis & pickleball courts and ball fields there is lots to do for the whole family.

Sussex offers many unique and locally owned restaurants, shops, ice cream stands, cafes, museums,16 treasured covered bridges and one of a kind murals throughout the downtown.

Sussex hosts many events at the Princess Louise Show Centre for the horse and cattle enthusiast; on the 3rd weekend in August Sussex hosts one of the largest Flea Markets around, organized by the NB Antique Auto Club; in September (weekend after labour day) they host the Atlantic International Balloon Fiesta, the only one of its kind in Atlantic Canada, featuring hot-air balloonists from across North America.
